Email info@nullflip.com with your iOS version and a short description. Please don’t send private writing, passwords, or payment details.

Set up the keyboard

  1. Open WriteForge and follow the welcome guide.
  2. Tap Open Settings. On the app’s settings page, tap Keyboards.
  3. Turn on WriteForge. Enable Allow Full Access if you want AI actions.
  4. Return to WriteForge and choose Use snippets for free, or sign in with Apple, activate AI access, and review the AI-processing permission.
  5. Try your first writing action when the guide offers it.

Snippets are individual buttons: Date, Time, Thanks, Got it, On my way, and Running late work immediately without Full Access, an account, or a subscription. In WriteForge → Action Buttons, add or edit snippets, mix them with AI actions in any order, and turn off buttons you do not need. With Full Access off, the keyboard shows only your enabled snippets.

The app remembers your setup progress. Full Access is checked by the keyboard when you use it; returning from Settings alone does not prove the permission is on.

Use a writing action

Select text, touch and hold the globe key on your keyboard, and choose WriteForge. Tap Fix, Rephrase, or another action. Review the result before sending it.

In Clipboard mode, if nothing is selected, WriteForge uses text you copied with iOS and inserts the result at the cursor. It does not delete the original copied text.

The keyboard can’t read all my text

iOS and the app you’re writing in decide what a keyboard receives. A long selection can be incomplete, and Auto mode cannot guarantee the whole text box. For important or long text, use iOS Copy, choose Clipboard mode in WriteForge, clear the selection, and place the cursor where you want the result inserted.

It says Full Access is needed

Open iOS Settings → Apps → WriteForge → Keyboards, then turn on Allow Full Access. On earlier iOS versions, WriteForge appears directly in the Settings list. Switch away from the keyboard and back after changing this permission.

It says AI permission is needed

Open WriteForge → Plans & Usage. Read what is shared with third-party AI providers and the linked privacy policy, then tap Allow AI Processing if you agree. If the provider changes, you’ll be asked again. You can turn this permission off on the same page.

Subscriptions and usage

Registration or AI access is paused

A registration pause stops new accounts, but existing customers can still sign in. If AI access is paused for your account or for everyone, the app shows a notice; tap Check again to refresh it. This is separate from your subscription and usage allowance. Account management and offline snippets remain available. A pause does not stop Apple billing: manage or cancel your subscription, request a refund through Apple, or contact us for help. See our service-control terms.

Restore a purchase

Open WriteForge → Plans & Usage → Restore Purchases. Sign in with the same WriteForge Apple account used to activate the subscription, and use the Apple Account that purchased it for App Store purchases. A purchase cannot move between different WriteForge accounts.

I reached my usage limit

The eligible Standard trial includes 25 successful AI actions over one week. You can upgrade to Plus before the trial ends. Paid allowances reset monthly, even on annual plans. Plans & Usage shows your remaining usage and reset date. Each subscription product has its own monthly allowance.

Cancel an Apple subscription

Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → WriteForge. You can also open Apple’s subscription management. Deleting the app or your WriteForge account does not cancel billing.

Delete your account

Open WriteForge → Plans & Usage → Delete Account. Read what will be removed, then confirm with the same Apple account. This deletes your profile, sessions, AI permissions, request history, access grants, and clears custom actions and snippets from this app and its iCloud settings.

Apple billing remains separate. Minimal purchase-ownership records and monthly billing totals remain to prevent subscription transfers and allowance resets. See our privacy policy.
