What WriteForge processes

When you deliberately run a writing action, WriteForge sends the selected or copied text and the action instruction to our service so the requested result can be generated. When you use dictation, the recorded audio is sent for transcription. Writing content and dictation audio are processed for the request and are not retained by WriteForge after the response is returned.

Account and subscription data

If you sign in with Apple, we store the private account identifier Apple assigns to WriteForge. Apple may also provide your name and email address the first time you authorize the app; if provided, we store them so we can identify your account, restore access, and provide support. Apple may provide a private relay email address if you choose Hide My Email. Apple subscription notifications contain signed transaction information, not your name or email address. We retain the product identifier, transaction identifiers, subscription status, and expiration date. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Configuration and iCloud

Your action names, prompts, ordering, and saved quick text may be stored in your personal iCloud key-value store so they can sync across your Apple devices. Apple governs iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Service providers

We use Apple for purchases and iCloud synchronization, and AI infrastructure providers to transform text and transcribe audio. We send only the data needed to fulfill your request.

Security and retention

Requests use encrypted network connections. Subscription records are retained while needed to provide access, prevent abuse, handle support, and meet legal obligations. Operational logs are designed not to contain submitted writing or audio.

Your choices

You can avoid sending text by not running an action, use Clipboard mode for more explicit control, disable Full Access in iOS Settings, turn off iCloud for the app, or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account settings. You can ask us to delete the account information held by WriteForge by contacting us.
